The only commitment? Choose your preferred minimum rental period from either 12 or 36 months - it’s that easy.
There’s no sneaky ongoing fees or interest, and the optional Protection Plan gives you peace of mind in case of accidental damage.
And if you love it, you can apply to buy it at any time!

How do I apply?
Find the bike you would like on the Empire Cycles website and click the Apply Now button.
If you can't see the product on our website, give us a call on (08) 6558 1761 and we can text the application to your phone.
What is the minimum rental period?
For bikes valued at $2500 - $9999.99: You can choose a minimum rental period from 6, 12 or 36 months.
For bikes valued at $10,000+: You can choose a minimum rental period from 12 or 36 months.
After your minimum rental period, you can return the bike, or continue renting as long as you want, up to a total period of up to 3 years.
If you return the bike within the minimum rental period (6, 12, or 36 months depending on the bike), you are required to pay the balance of the rental charges for the minimum rental period.
What can I rent?
You can rent any bicycle or electric bicycle over $2500.
The bike can include accessories that are part of the bike (for example; pedals). Any accessories will need to stay on the bike upon return, or be purchased with the bike if purchased.
You cannot rent accessories that aren't part of the bike (for example; shoes).
How are payments made?
Payment is debited on a set day each month from your nominated bank account. If this day falls on a weekend or public holiday, it is debited the next business day.
What about accidental damage or theft?
Good idea! The optional Protection Plan is available, and highly reccomended.
This is available through Studio 19 at the time of application, and is calculated at approximately $5 per $1000 of retail value, per month. For example, a $4000 bike costs approx. $20 per month to insure.
The Protection Plan covers accidental damage (up to $2500) as well as fire and theft. It does not cover regular wear and tear. Please refer to Studio 19 for full details, conditions, and the most accurate quote for your application. Simply begin an application to find this information.
What about servicing and repairs?
Every bike purchased from Empire Cycles includes a complimentary Tune-Up within the first 6 weeks of sale. This means we will make any necessary adjustments within this period free of charge.
The Rent to Ride program assumes normal wear and tear for the rental period, however it is the responsibility of the renter to return the bike in good working order, meaning some repairs may be in order at the time of return.
Servicing is at the discretion of the renter based on the level of performance they wish to gain from their rental.
I love this bike, can I buy it?
Yes!
You can apply to purchase the bike from Studio 19 at any time, even after renting it for one day.
Are there any fees?
There is a one-time fee of $29 for any successful application.
After this, there is no ongoing fees, other than your monthly rental payments.
How do I return the bike?
Contact Studio 19 when you would like to return the bike. After your return has been approved, simply drop your bike back to Empire Cycles.
If you choose to return the bike, it needs to be returned with all parts and components that were originally on the bike.
